Maddie cycles for Enham
7 December 2009
Nine year old Maddie Burrell of Kimpton School, Andover, recently told her mum that she wanted to do something for Enham. Maddie is the daughter of Enham's Marketing and Fundraising Support Officer Lela Ponting, and between them they came up with the idea of the bike ride. Maddie cycled the 5 miles on Saturday 5th December and raised an amazing £105 towards our 90th Anniversary Appeal.
"I'm so proud of my daughter. She was so determined to do this and get involved as I had recently started my role at Enham. It was a new career direction for me and she wanted to be part of it too!" said Lela.
Maddie said "I'm glad I don't have to cycle home, it's uphill most of the way!"
Well done and a huge thank you Maddie!
