EACH Film Goes on Tour!
22 July 2010
The EACH (Enham Alamein Community Heritage) project is a Heritage Lottery funded community project to explore the local heritage and raise awareness of the fascinating history of the Enham charity and Enham Alamein village.
To showcase the project, there will be a family-friendly touring exhibition visiting museums and primary schools in Hampshire during the summer. It will include extracts of interviews conducted by Smannell & Enham Primary School pupils and community volunteers, and the ‘Story of Enham Alamein' film produced by Smannell school pupils together with clients from Enham's Route to Independence Programme. There will also be accompanying activities (such as costumed role play) to give children and their families a taste of investigating the past for themselves.
EACH Film Showings:
The Museum of Army Flying, in Middle Wallop, Hampshire: Monday 26th and Friday 30th July, and also Monday 13th and Friday 17th September.
The Royal Green Jackets (Rifles) Museum, Winchester: Monday 16th to Friday 27th August
If you think your school might be interested in displaying the exhibition and taking part in local history activities, there will be another opportunity during the autumn term. Please contact Julie Winning at Smannell & Enham C of E Primary School on telephone number 01264 323201, or email headteacher@smannellenham.hants.sch.uk.
The project will culminate in a temporary exhibition at Andover Museum, which will run from Saturday 9th October to Saturday 13th November 2010. Educational packs will also be available for local schools.
