Overton Carol Concert Supports Enham
21 December 2011
Overton Choral Society and Overton Symphonic orchestra joined forces on Monday the 19th December to present a carol concert with a collection in aid of Enham.
Conductor Paul Timms of Andover, a former Director of Music at Farleigh School was supported by long serving accompanist Nicholas Hussey and the Overton Symphonic orchestra at St Mary’s Hall, Overton.
Children from Overton School also supported the event. The evening was a magical start to the festive season for the packed audience. Enham was nominated as the recipient of a collection by choir member and hard working Enham volunteer Justina Wills. Special guests for the night were Enham residents Andrew Montieth and identical twins Sarah and Catherine Griffiths.
Events and Community Fundraiser Liz Cosgrove spoke to the audience and she thanked them for their support, “its not often Enham is chosen as the beneficiary of an event like this and we really can’t thank you enough” she said and invited those present to attend the charity visitor day arranged for 10th January at 2pm to learn more about the organisation and its 92 year history supporting people with disabilities.
