Best foot forward - Enham benefits from the Test Way walk
13 January 2012
650 walkers tackled the 26 mile route.
Despite the challenging economic climate £57,000 was raised on behalf of 120 different charities.
Enham will use the funds, totalling £1825, towards continuing its support for thousands of disabled people across Southern and Central England.
The charity, which is now in its 93rd year, works to improve equality of opportunity, access to employment, independence and quality of life for people living with physical and learning disabilities.
Enham has a range of housing and care options supported by charitable donations and ethical commercial initiatives.
Just £150 could provide skills training and support for a disabled person to be able to cook for themselves in their own kitchen. £50 might enable five Enham clients to enjoy skiing for the disabled in Southampton.
