Enham awards new ASDA store

23 April 2008

Local disability charity Enham awarded the new ASDA store in Andover its ‘Partner of the Month’ award on 22nd April.  Enham gives this award to companies who demonstrate an ongoing commitment in helping Enham give its clients opportunities to achieve their full potential by providing work experience, a job, training or advice and guidance for entering the workplace.

ASDA has worked in partnership with Enham to help recruit local staff with disabilities and has been very supportive with the various needs of disabled applicants.  One of the new ASDA employees, Anne Cassidy (pictured) was given assistance with job searching, CV writing and interview techniques from Enham’s Employment Services, prior to being offered a job with ASDA.

Robin Johnson (pictured), one of Enham’s Employment Advisors said “It has been very beneficial for a local charity to work with a national employer.  We have awarded ASDA with the ‘Partner of the Month’ award for their friendly and professional approach to all applicants from Enham.”

Sheila Smith, People Manager at ASDA commented “It has been fantastic to work with a local charity like Enham.  As part of a successful opening we have had great new employees from Enham and continue to welcome more applications.”
