A perfect blend as Costa Coffee and Enham join forces in new store in Weeke, Winchester
19 October 2009
Success was brewing in Winchester on Saturday morning (17th October) as Enham helped open a brand new Costa Coffee store in Winchester.
Enham has joined forces with 12 South East Costa Coffee stores in a work placement recruitment drive. The idea was initiated via Enham’s e2e (entry 2 employment programme) which is based in three Hampshire locations, including Enham’s internet café in Southampton’s The Mall Marlands shopping centre. To date, four Enham clients have found work at Costa Coffee. This includes local girl and Enham client, Cody Goodwin, aged 17. Cody has worked in the Costa Coffee store within The Mall Marlands Shopping Centre in Southampton for 6 weeks on work experience, which has now successfully led onto permanent employment. Based on her success, both Costa Coffee and Enham agreed to form a formal partnership whereby Enham will provide Enham clients with work placements in 12 Costa Coffee stores across the South East.
This latest Costa Coffee store to be in partnership with Enham was officially opened by The Right Worshipful the Mayor of Winchester, Councillor Dominic Hiscock. The Mayor, together with Paul Downey, Costa Coffee General Manager, cut a cake which was kindly decorated by Enham Tutor Diana Smith and Enham clients.
