Workstep Client is given Learner of the Month Award
6 October 2009
Enham’s Workstep client Vijay Chopra, has been recognised by Enham as its latest Learner of the Month.
Vijay, who works for Southampton City College, has recently completed his NVQ level 3 in Library and Information Services since starting at the college in 2007, and is about to embark on a degree in librarianship.
Lynda Walsh, a development advisor for Enham’s centre in Southampton, who nominated Vijay for the award commented “Vijay is well supported at the college especially with the way he has implemented the training he has learnt within his job role.”
Enham’s Workstep programme assists those who are recovering from a long-term illness or who have a disability and want employment. It can provide the practical help, information, advice and guidance you need to find suitable work together with additional, ongoing ‘in-work’ support.
Vijay was presented with the certificate by Michael Steel, Enham’s Partnership Liaison Manager, who commented “Enham’s Learner of the Month award recognises individuals such as Vijay who go above and beyond in reaching their goals.”
Vijay commented “I’m really pleased to be given this award and I value the support of both Enham and City College”.
