A - Z of fundraising ideas
Afternoon Tea Party – serve tea and scones in exchange for a donation. Auction of Promises – get friends to pledge a skill and auction them. Australian Evening – throw another shrimp on the Barbie. America Day - Dress in Red, White and Blue and cook hotdogs.
Beard Shave – get sponsored to shave it off. Bad Tie Day – nice easy one for the guys in the office, Host a Barbecue or Barn Dance. Get rid of your rubbish at a Boot Sale and donate the proceeds. Would the children at school hold Bring and Buy Sale for us or Baby-sit and donate the money. Keep fit with a sponsored Bike Ride, Invite friends to donate to come to Breakfast or a Buffet Lunch.
Car Wash, hold a Coffee Morning. Bake Cakes and sell them, build a Coin mountain down the pub. Collect coins In a Smartie Tube. Hold Chess or Draughts knock out. Start a Chain Reaction – invite five people to lunch at £5 a head and they all go off and invite five of their friends and so it goes on. Christmas is a great time to fundraise – put a note in with your Christmas cards telling everyone what you are doing and add a link to your JustGiving web page. Bake mince pies, drum up some mulled wine and charge your neighbours to come along. Make and sell some Christmas Cards Wrap up warm and do some Carol Singing. Get the family together and knock on the neighbours doors.
Darts Tournament down the pub. Book the village hall and hold a glitzy black tie Dinner Dance or Disco, organise a fun Dog Show with a prize for the dog that looks most like its owner! Get fit and charge to do some Dog Walking/Running! (Lazy neighbours would pay a fortune to get out of that one!) Charge guests entry to your Drinks Party.
Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. If you are an artist hold an Exhibition and charge to get in
Football Tournament either adult or children's. Everyone at work pays to wear a Football Shirt to work (Get your Kit On!).
Hold a Fancy Dress Party – pick an easy theme of colour. Do you have contacts to host a Fashion Show? Could your village Fete make a donation? What about charging friends to come to a Firework Party, or sell your excess Fruits and Flowers from the Garden. Dust off your 45's and arrange a Fifties Evening with Fish and Chip's delivered from the local chippie. Celebrate the arrival of Beaujolais Nouveau with a French Evening with some French bread and scrummy Cheeses.
Guess the Height/Weight/Amount /Name of something. Have you time to arrange a Gala Evening? What about clearing your junk with a Garage or Good as New Sale? Hire the scout hut for a German Evening, with a barrel of lager and cold meats, boiled eggs and rolls.
Hold a Party and charge entry. Get your Head Shaved. Make Hotdogs and Hamburgers and sell them. Have a Harvest Supper. Lose weight by having several Hunger Lunches and donate the money you would have spent.
Indian Curry Night amongst friends or perhaps an Irish Evening with Guinness and Oysters or an Italian Evening with Chianti, Pizza and Pasta.
Jazz Evening down the pub. What about an ever popular Jumble Sale. Jail Break - arrange to "kidnap" someone with a lot of connections and the victim has to phone their friends to raise the ransom you demand to let them out......or keep them there!
Karaoke - looks like we're back down the pub again! Could your gym hold a Keep Fit-athon?
Lunch Parties, you could charge to get in and maybe hold a raffle. Ask a local Line Dancing Group if they'd like to help. Charge the neighbours to do their Lawn Mowing.
Magic Show – hold one and make our worries disappear! Organise a very glitzy Masked Ball with a Midnight Feast. Hire a coach and set up a Magical Mystery Pub Tour. Arrange a Music Quiz. Contact your local department store to see if they would come along and give a Make Up Demonstration Evening. A nice easy one for full time workers is to ask your company to hold a Mufti Day wear Denim for Enham and colleagues pay £1 to take part...or £2 if they don't!
Netball Tournament amongst local schools and charge entry. Have a Nearly New Sale or a Non Uniform Day.
Old Time Musical Hall or an Opera Evening at your local theatre. What about an Outing to the Races and everyone gives 10% of their winnings to you?
Pennies for Enham – ask us for a collecting tin to keep by your phone. Have a Penalty Shoot Out Competition after your Sunday footie match. Sell your excess flowers at a Plant Sale, or if you live by a stream or river have a Plastic Duck Race. Could you Pet Sit and charge to look after a family's pet while they are away? Something really different is a Pig Race Evening – races with Pink fluffy battery operated pigs, we have all the details.
Quiz Night - we will provide all the questions and possibly even the Quizmaster!!
Radio Controlled Car Racing - ask the school if you can chalk up a track around the playground on a Saturday afternoon. Ever faithful Raffles are always popular and we have a week in Tenerife to give to you as a first prize to tempt people, just give Liz a call.

Sponsorship for absolutely anything you fancy, get slim as well as fit before you run the race, Smorgasbord Evening - open packs of cold sliced meats and invite friends for a party ......what could be easier! Sixties or Seventies Evening with music and fancy dress to match. Knock-out Skittles Night with chicken and chips in a basket at the local pub alley. Slave Auction where ladies pay for the use of a local handyman for the day. Unleash local talent with a Stars In Their Eyes Evening. How about serving Sunday Brunch or Safari Supper Parties with friends (we have the formulas).
Teddy Bears Picnic in the park. Tombola in the town on market day. Sunday afternoon Treasure Hunt or Tug of War between pubs. Would your club a hold Tennis Tournament?
Uniform Day where everyone has to wear some kind of uniform to work. Hold an Unwanted Christmas Prezzie Sale in January.
Valentine Disco when love is in the air. Invite friends to pay for a Video Evening at yours with lasagne thrown in.
Wellie Throwing Competition or Walk 26 times around a football pitch, so it's nice and safe.
