Cafe Enham
Are you looking for a career in catering and need a stepping-stone to employment in a fun and busy environment?
Café Enham is a unique community café based in Portsmouth, Hampshire and is a great place to meet in the local community.
Opened in August 2007, this is the first of what will hopefully be similar innovative operations elsewhere in Hampshire and beyond, serving the community and fulfilling a vital role in providing real employment opportunities, training and volunteering opportunities for local people with disabilities.
Helping you gain Experience and Qualifications
For a nine-month period our employees are placed on Enham’s Workstep scheme, a government programme run by our Employment Services Division, which covers the whole of the Hampshire region.
The following training is accredited to NVQ Level and is supported by work-experience:
• Food preparation
• Service
• Customer Care

The Café is a great meeting place for the local people in the area, serving affordable nutritious meals promoting the “five-a –day” healthy eating as well and sandwiches to take-away - toddler "take-outs" and a buffet catering service for local businesses.
