e2e - Entry to Employment

Are you a young person over 16 looking for a job?
Do you want to meet new people and gain confidence? Young woman filing

e2e is a programme to help and support young people aged 16-18 who may have disabilities or learning needs, to gain the skills to enter employment, apprenticeships or full time education.

The programme is funded by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC).  E2e is currently run by Enham in the Farnborough and Alton/Bordon areas of Hampshire and is based in the Farnborough and Alton Community Centres.

As a Learner, you are given the information, advice and guidance to make real life choices on how to move forward in your life, whilst making new friends.
Within e2e, you will have the opportunity to build vocational skills and understand more about the employment opportunities open to you.

Your Individual Programme

e2e is a dynamic programme of learning, based on the needs of you as an  individual and is not time-bound. After an initial assessment based on literacy and numeracy, your essential skills level will be ascertained by your e2e tutor, and the programme will then be tailored to your individual needs, to help you to actively seek work experience and paid employment.

Core Activities

• Job searching, including writing speculative letters and C.V.’s, calling companies and completing application forms.
• Work experience for at least four weeks with an employer of your choice.
• Training to improve IT and Keyboard skills, as well as Numeracy and Literacy.
• Gaining qualifications in key skills.
• e2e Workshops:
For example: How to budget, Personal Hygiene, Drug Awareness, Sexual Health, Confidence Building, Breakthrough to Excellence, Creative Writing, Healthy Eating, Disability Awareness and many more.

Enham2Employment Magazine

An exciting core part of the e2e programme is to produce, as part of a team, a monthly magazine called Enham2Employment.  The Learners are responsible for its development and production and are assigned individual roles such as editor, sports writer, and distributor.  Working on the magazine helps you as a Learner to develop essential key skills for the work place.  It also acts as an advertising medium for the programme and provides you with a place to advertise your employment aspirations.

e2e also gives you the chance to do other exciting activities such as: Living Science experience at e2e

  •    Team building Drama Sessions
  •    Circus skills
  •    Football Tournaments
