The whole area is surrounded by hills and mountains ensuring a stunning view. No journey to Jordan would be complete without a visit to Petra now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and it has been nominated by the BBC as one of the 40 places to see before you die. On this Trek you will float in the Dead Sea, hike into the Petra mountains and Trek to Petra, the ancient and spectacular city. FAQ's
Dalai Lama Trek - 12 – 22 April 2013 and 1 – 11 November 2013
Soak up some spiritualism on the Dalai Lama Trek. A five day route through the foothills of the Himalayas from the heart of the Dalai Lama’s Tibetan community in Dharamsala. Hindu settlements, Buddhist Monasteries, spectacular mountain vistas and the chance to explore part of the world’s biggest mountain range... what more could you want from a trekking challenge?
Sarah Desert Trek and Street Child Project 19th - 26th October 2013
This wonderful eight day trek departs on a Saturday so you would only need to take 5 days off work. The sponsorship target is £1900 which is very achievable, particularly given that the trip doesn’t depart until October 2013.
The project is really unique and will involve spending time assisting with a street child project in Marrakech on tasks such as painting and decorating shelters, improving education rooms and other manual tasks (as well as spending some time with the children). The children, as you may expect, come from vulnerable situations with many being involved in drug use and physical and emotional abuse. However, it is clear that despite the difficulties they face, the children want and need support to build their futures and live the lives they choose rather than the lives they are assumed to take because of their situation. Full details of the trip
After the cost of the trip is deducted, Enham will receive the remainder in sponsorship so the more you raise. Enham will receive more if you are able to get the cost of the trip sponsored by the company you work for, or your sponsorship matched by them.
