Leaving a Lasting Legacy
Why?
There are many reasons why people leave money to charities and organisations but the most compelling of those is to make a difference to people’s lives. In this way people can leave an enduring impression on the world and their money keeps on working when they’re gone.
Ashley’s Story
Because of the donations Enham receives from people who have left a legacy, Ashley Bell did not give up hope:
At the age of 20, three months after completing a Mechanics course, Ashley slipped backwards as she was taking a wheel off a car, whilst on a hydraulic ramp. As a result of her injury and a spinal condition discovered
as a result of it, she was unsure about what the future would hold with regards to opportunities and employment. Having completed her City and Guilds CAD (Computer Aided Design) Course at Enham, Ashley was overjoyed to be accepted at Oxford Brookes University. “Having the opportunity to do the CAD Course at Enham has given me back my future” said Ashley (pictured opposite).
At Enham we help over 2,000 disabled people each year, people whose opportunities would otherwise have been limited. Your lasting legacy can provide those opportunities.
Many people think that leaving a legacy is only for the wealthy. However even leaving a small amount can make a real difference. Just £200 could fund a term of training for someone like Ashley Bell. You may not have been able to afford to make this generous gesture in your lifetime but you can still leave your impression forever.
How?
It’s as simple as either leaving a letter of wish/intent or making or changing your will. We will help you with every step you need to take.
