Your Personal Development Plan – empowering you to reach your potential
Much of our work on the programme is with our Residential Care clients and if you join us here at Enham, we will provide you with ongoing support and encouragement to establish a Personal Development Plan (PDP). Through our person-centred approach these plans are agreed with you and reviewed together on a regular basis. Each plan is tailored to your needs and will empower you to reach your goals.
We also support you if you are moving into or are already in Supported Living accommodation in and around the Enham village, and for those of you who may be wishing to move to the area of your families. Regular reviews of your progress are carried out, which will identify new action plans, again leading towards that ultimate goal.
Within the Development Programme syllabus there are numerous courses and activities for you to get involved in, which support your learning and development journey. These activities are wide ranging and cover 4 main categories:
- Personal Development
- IT Development
- Work Development
- Fitness & Leisure
Personal Development will provide skills towards your greater independence which come from:
- Living Skills (in the Development Kitchen and the local community)
- Healthy Eating
- Independence Skills (in your own accommodation and community)
- Art & Drama (for communications, self-esteem and self confidence)
- Numeracy & Literacy (provided through both our resources and our local college: Andover College http://www.cricklade.ac.uk/
- Computer training (see Karten Centre)

Accessing the Development Programme
Access to the Development Programme is via a 3-week assessment course. If you would like to apply, it is recommended that you book onto one of our ‘Open Day Visits’ held on the first Thursday of every month (Tel: 01264 345800).
