STEP2Employment
Get the skills and knowledge you need to get and keep a job
STEP2Employment at Enham delivers a variety of highly successful training and employment programmes to assist people with disabilities or health issues into worthwhile employment.
This personal approach has enabled Enham's clients to enjoy success in both progression into employment and the achievement of nationally recognised qualifications.
STEP2Employment is a modular work-focused programme, which is delivered through vocational skills and work ethics training and the building of confidence and self-esteem.
Key Benefits of S2E
- low tutor to client ratio
- available on a daily or a residential basis with 6 intakes per year
- offers a structured timetable to support work ethics and provide skills to meet the needs of the workplace
- takes place in a fully accessible environment; modern facilities, state-of-the-art equipment (including adaptive tools and specialist support)
- your training, food, and accommodation are all free and travel is paid for
- most benefits are unaffected by the course (please check with your Disability Employment Adviser)
STEP2Employment is not designed to train the individual to the highest level available in their chosen job goal, but to equip the individual with the skills and knowledge that enable them to obtain and sustain employment.
Applicants who have undertaken a previous period of STEP2Employment will usually need to wait 12 months before they are eligible to commence a further programme.
STEP2Employment is structured around two modules. The first module has an initial assessment and skills building. The second module is vocational, with clients working on one of our three work programmes: computer aided design, IT installation, upgrade and maintenance. Other courses are currently under consideration, so please ask us for further details.
Go to the modules and programmes page for further information on what is on offer.
