Supported Living

Another stepping-stone to you living more independently

Living in your own placeEnham’s high quality Supported Living service offers you choices and opportunities to live more independently and to hold a tenancy within your own right. This comes with the added reassurance of our dedicated, skilled and experienced staff on hand to assist you with housing-related support, as well as using existing social networks to help you share in the life of your local community. Supporting 67 tenants both living on the Enham site and in the village itself, our services are person-centred and tailored around your individual needs.

 

Enham can offer you a range of accommodation types:

• Bedsits
• Flats
• Single-person Bungalows
• Shared Bungalows
• Houses

Support

You can be provided with support from 1 hour, to a maximum of 17.5 hours per week. We can offer you advice or assistance with your utility bills, tenancy or benefits should you require it. Based on your individual assessment plans, you may also need the following support, which we can provide:

• Basic living skills
• Cooking, cleaning and shopping
• Budgeting
• Communication skills

These support packages are reviewed on a six-monthly basis to ensure that they respond to your changing needs, with the view to being reduced as you gain more confidence and independence.

Personal Care is not covered under Supported Living, although this can be provided from an outside agency.

Emergency Cover

Enham operates an Out of Hours Service, which currently runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Skilled and trained staff are on call to assist with any emergencies; either visiting you, calling for emergency services or by telephone support.

Other Services we can offer you if you are a Supported Living Tenant

As a tenant, you will automatically be eligible to access any of our Employment Programmes, to help you to get back into the work place, providing you with the skills or training in order to do so. Please visit our Services to get you into work section, for further information.

If you have any concerns regarding your tenancy or need someone to speak on your behalf, we will support you to find an advocate and help you in any way we can.

Accessing our Supported Living Service

You will need to contact our Community Support Manager, details below, and you can self-refer or be referred though a Housing Panel or Social Worker. A decision on whether we can support you appropriately, will be made following a three-week assessment.
