Swindon: Penhill

Person required to support a young disabled man in the area of Penhill, Swindon

Main duties:

• To provide practical support to a young disabled man with Autism-Aperger’s Syndrome enabling him to live independently in his flat (general house work, washing, diary management, post etc)
• To assist attending social activities such shopping, walking, cooking or other leisure activities
• To assist understanding, solving day to day problems and to prompt his memory

Required skills:

• The ideal applicant should have experience in a similar role
• Should be reliable, friendly and have a responsible mature attitude
• Good communication skills and patience essential
• Car driver and access to own car essential
• CRB check will be required, however costs are met

Working Hours:

Generally 9 hours per week:

Every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 09:30 to 12:30

Days:

• Monday 09.00 - 12.00
• Wednesday 9.00 - 11.00
• Thursday 09.00 - 12.00
• Friday 09.00 - 12.00

Pay:

£8.00 per hour
