Are you facing barriers to finding or keeping work?

Workstep is the supported employment programme for people experiencing more complex barriers to finding a job or whilst in the workplace, Enham will help you to remove some of these barriers. workstep pic

This programme is for people who are recovering from a long-term illness or for those who have a disability and want employment. It can provide both the practical help,information,advice and guidance you need to find suitable work together with additional, ongoing ‘in-work’ support that you may require to maintain employment.

Contracted by Jobcentre Plus, Enham will appoint a nominated Employment Adviser to work with you to tailor a personal development plan and support package.

Key Benefits of the Workstep Programme:

• It provides a personally-tailored support package from your Employment Adviser
• A free Job searching service is available and help with filling in your application forms and preparing your C.V.
• It provides help with preparing for interviews.
• It builds your confidence and self-esteem.
• It provides careers & benefits advice.
• It links with other organisations and specialist agencies.
• It provides continued ‘in work’ support for you and your employer.
• Up to £100 when you start work and a further £100 after three months in employment, will be available (subject to supporting evidence).

Enham’s Workstep Clients have secured employment in areas such as retail, administration, education, manufacturing, catering, engineering, horticulture and customer service.

Eligibility:

You must be:

• Currently in work but at serious risk of losing your job as a result of your disability, even after the employer has made all reasonable adjustments and considered other available support options.

• In receipt of Incapacity Benefit (IB) and/or National Insurance (NI) credits only (including Severe Disablement Allowance or Income Support).

• In receipt of Jobseekers Allowance (JSA) and /or NI credits only for 6 months or more in a current or ‘linked’ job seeking period.

• In receipt of JSA and/or NI credits only for less than 6 months but have been in receipt of IB immediately before claiming JSA.

• A former Supported Employee who has progressed but needs to return to the programme within two years or has left for any reason and returns within one year.

• A recent/prospective education leaver who does not fall within the above groups but for whom there is clear evidence of a need for support in work.
